Operation USO Care Package

Anyone who's ever been away from home for long periods of time can relate to the excitement and joy of receiving a Care Package. It creates an instant connection between the troops, home and the citizens they serve. The USO receives thank you notes from troops all over the world recounting the morale boost a Care Package provides. The program also takes care of families by providing a Military Family Care Package.

A $25 donation sponsors one USO care package and allows you to include a personal message of support and appreciation.  It's a small act that shows our appreciation and support for those making such a huge sacrifice every day.

In the more than 200 years of our nation's history there has never been an officially recognized symbol that reminds us daily of the sacrifices made by members of our military and the lives lost in service to our country. We propose the Honor and Remember Flag as a national emblem for that purpose. Join the National Campaign of Remembrance here.

Let Our Troops Know You Care!

Buy a Cup of Joe for a soldier serving far from home and have it delivered with your own personal note of encouragement.

In our travels to see the Troops, many share with us their sense of loneliness, isolation and feelings of being forgotten. Their commanders tell us that some Soldiers never receive mail from home. In response, Green Beans Coffee has launched Cup of Joe For A Joe to let anyone, anywhere in the world, say thanks to our troops through the simple act of buying a cup of coffee and having it delivered along with their own personal note of encouragement into the hands of a deployed Soldier.

Please join Green Beans in honoring our Troops. It only takes a few moments plus the spare change in your pocket to say thanks. Simply choose a purchase of any amount and we'll do the rest!  Learn more.

Operation Gratitude

Tens of thousands of American Service Members are deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world, including the Middle East, Afghanistan, and on ships throughout international waters. The physical conditions they must endure are difficult and they may be separated from loved ones for long periods of time.

Operation Gratitude seeks to lift morale and put smiles on faces by sending care packages addressed to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm's way.  Learn more here.

GiveBack10 is a partnership between the most trusted brand that serves those in uniform and an entrepreneurial, social media start-up with a great idea:

The USO (United Service Organizations) has been the bridge between the American people and our men and women in uniform and their families since 1941. In times of peace and war, the USO consistently delivers its special brand of comfort, morale and recreational services to the military in more than 160 locations worldwide. The USO is in the unique position as the leading military support organization and authority to start a national dialogue on how we can care, connect and create solutions for troops and their families, particularly our wounded warriors as they recover from the physical and mental wounds of war.

GiveBack10 was founded in 2010 by Tim Noonan, a former Marine, to drive a national dialogue on the moral imperative of every American to give back to wounded warriors. Recognizing the power of social media and the success of micro-donation campaigns, GiveBack10's business and technology model were purpose-built to connect Americans with their moral imperative to give back to wounded warriors. The USO is GiveBack10's exclusive strategic partner.

The USO and GiveBack10 are asking Americans to take 10 minutes to learn about issues facing wounded warriors -- tell 10 friends, learn 10 things to help, or donate $10 to support them. Visit www.GiveBack10.org to find out how to get involved.

Learn more about the Hope for the Warrior's A Warrior's Wish.  The knowledge that wishes can come true directly impacts the spirit of the warrior in addition to the families and communities that support them. Whether realizing a dream to go hunting, ride a bike again or own a home adapted to their specialized needs, it is the mission of Hope for the Warriors to see that wounded warriors are actively engaged. Learn more about A Warrior's Wish, here.

Wounded Warrior Project began when several individuals took small, inspired actions to help others in need.

One night while watching the evening news, a group of veterans and brothers were moved by the difficult stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized then and there that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades.

The resulting objective was to provide tangible support for the wounded and help them on the road to healing, both physically and mentally. What had been initially viewed as a small contribution (compared with what the warriors had sacrificed while serving our country) has become WWP's signature program: "WWP backpacks delivered bedside to wounded warriors."
